I was talking with a friend who runs a pretty good-sized cluster about their digital strategy.
He brought up something interesting. For the spots they run only online, they have added copy that is specific for those online listeners.
Something to the effect of:
"We know you probably minimized your streaming player after you logged on today, open it back up and click on the link for "Buddy's Sandwich Shop" and print your ‘Buy 1 get 1' coupon right now!"
That is, assuming you have synched banners with your streaming players -- and most have that capability. What a great, simple idea, playing right to the person at his desk listening to your station.
And the good news is, he said it's really working!
