Please begin by giving us a brief career history ...
I started working in radio in 1990 in promotions at KRNQ/Des Moines and made a Midwestern tour ending up in Butler, MO at KMOE and also in Omaha a couple different tines working at WOW, KKCD, Metro Networks as a traffic reporter and at KXKT. I ended up back in Des Moines working at 97-3 the Hawk from 1998 until 2005. Now I am working part time at KSTZ/Des Moines, working weekends and swing and covering for traffic reporters when needed. I've have been a Program Director, Promotions Director, Music Director and Morning Show Host.
1) What do you do to maintain a positive mental attitude and stay motivated?
My faith in God and prayer.
2) How are you occupying your time, besides looking for a job?
I am working on a radio program the mixes Country artists and Christian Country artists called The Gospel Road.
3) What's the longest stretch you've had on the beach?
1 year (currently).
4) What is your best way to get your foot in the door?
I am working part time at KSTZ/Des Moines to stay in touch with the business.
5) Are you spending as much time listening to radio as you used to?
I'm listening to music on CD or the Internet more than listening to the radio anymore.
6) What has been your biggest career accomplishment?
Programming a growing radio station that was showing progress, and hosting a morning show that also produced progressive ratings.
7) Uh oh ... now you're on your own for getting new music. If applicable, name your three most recent purchases since leaving the biz.

The Bible.

My best recipe for the "On The Beach" cookbook is go see your friends about dinner time every night and most likely you will be invited to stay and get a free dinner without having to lift a finger.
