Sucking the life out of the wire services:
People magazine announced this year's "Sexiest Man Alive" last night on JIMMY KIMMEL's show. Congratulations to 2014's winner, CHRIS HEMSWORTH, who played Thor in the movies, and also starred as Formula One racer JAMES HUNT in RON HOWARD's movie, "Rush."
His younger brother, LIAM, stars in the "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
An Australian import, Hemsworth told People that his award also (quote) "bought me a couple of weeks of bragging rights" around the house and with his wife. "I can just say to her, 'Now remember, this is what the people think, so I don't need to do the dishes anymore, I don't need to change nappies. I'm above that. I've made it now."
He also told Kimmel he'd like to thank his parents, "for putting this together."

Another woman has come forward accusing BILL COSBY of rape and her name is JANICE DICKINSON! The self-proclaimed "World's First Supermodel" revealed to "Entertainment Tonight" that she met the comic in Lake Tahoe back in 1982 after he offered to help her with a job and her singing career. After his show and dinner, Janice claims he came up to her room, gave her red wine, a pill and she woke up the next morning without her clothes on.
The last thing she remembers was him "getting on top of me" in a patchwork robe, they never spoke about the incident and she's coming forward because it's the "right thing to do" and the "true story." (Lee)Whatta surprise: Netflix said it's postponing BILL COSBY's upcoming standup comedy special, in the wake of yesterday's announcement by JANICE DICKENSON, which aired on "Entertainment Tonight."
In the interview, Janice claimed that Cosby sexually assaulted her after a 1982 hotel dinner meeting in Lake Tahoe, CA. (Editor's note: more on this in Celebrities, above.)
Netflix did not say if --or when-- the special, "Bill Cosby 77," would air. It was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Nov 27.Horse Racing:
Live racing has been cancelled today at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY --due to frigid temperatures. It is the first time racing has been canceled at the track since November 1986. Weather reports call for temperatures in the teens with sub-zero wind chills. (Lane)
Football:
With last Sunday's loss to the San Diego Chargers, the Oakland Raiders have lost 16 games in a row. They become the 13th team in NFL history to do so; 26 consecutive losses is the NFL record set by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1976-1977. This year's team is three losses shy of tying the franchise record of 19 set in 1961-62. If they go winless for their remaining 6 games (they play the Kansas City Chiefs this Thursday night) they will join the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only NFL teams to go without a victory in a 16-game season.
