Posturing, Posing, Polling and Press Releases:
According to papers filed with the Federal Election Commission, DONALD TRUMP --much like HILLARY CLINTON-- earned about $250-thousand dollars per speech in the past year. Trump's public speaking engagements earned him a total of $1.75-million-dollars. He charges anywhere between $50-thousand dollars to $450-thousand dollars per talk.
His biggest paydays? Three speeches to a multilevel marketing company called ACN, at $450-thousand dollars each. (Pacelli)Filling a need:
If you're a fan of beer and a fan of lobster --you'll love this.
Oxbow Brewingin Maine is brewing beer made with live Maine lobsters and a dash of sea salt. Brewmaster TIM ADAMS says the lobsters are suspended in a kettle full of boiling grain during the brewing process. He explains that the process adds a slight sweetness and brininess that lobster fans will love. Adams explains the lobsters that were steamed in the brewing process were eaten afterward. The lobster-infused brew went on sale to the public this summer. (Still)Meanwhile, the healthy lifestyle and yoga pants company Lululemon is making beer now. Yes, beer. Because Downward Dog Pose and Warrior Pose are always better with beer. The Hollywood Reporter says Lulelemon has developed its own limited edition brew called "Curiosity Lager." It contains lemon drop and Chinook hops and it goes on sale next month. Now the bad news: the yoga beer is only being sold in Canada.
Editor's note: But on the bright side... it's okay to drink beer while doing yoga now! (Bartha)Bad luck:
A British woman went to the dentist in Germany for a routine procedure and woke up to find half her teeth missing.
38-year-old ALISON DIVERS says the terrifying incident happened 13-years ago, but she's been living with the nightmare ever since. Divers was still light-headed from anesthetic when she looked up to see all her top teeth in a plastic baggy, tied to the examination light and dangling above her head. She explains, "This isn't something you think will happen to you in real life. It's the stuff of nightmares."
Alison had only gone to the dentist to have a minor procedure done on two cracked front teeth. But, she says there was a language barrier since the dentist only spoke German. Afterwards, she was given ill-fitting dentures which she's had to live with ever since.
The good news is, brand new dental implant surgery has now turned her life around. After an eight-hour procedure, Alison now has a full set of beautiful new implants. And, the new teeth boosted her confidence so much, she's now getting married to the man of her dreams. (Still) -
