Interesting move as Facebook CEO MARK ZUCKERBERG said yesterday that the social network will be adding a "dislike" button to the page as a way for people to indicate feelings of sadness or sympathy about Facebook content and comments.
Zuck said what Facebook users "really want is an ability to express empathy," although he didn't provide any other details, like whether it would be a "thumbs down" emoji or when the feature would go live.New York Fashion Week:
KANYE WEST will be presenting his Adidas Originals collection today during fashion week in New York City. Details are being kept under wraps, but expect a star-studded front row that will of course include KIM KARDASHIAN. As for the collection itself, Vogue says Kanye's second go-round with the line "will expand both the shoe and clothing offerings and features little to no Adidas branding." Other rumors say the price tag for many of the items will run in the thousands of dollars. (Bartha)
Lowering standards:
Public school students in one Maryland district are fed up with their school lunches.
Students at Prince George's County Public Schools are reportedly so outraged at the food they're given, they're taking a stand on social media. They've been sharing photos on Twitter of undercooked burgers, moldy sandwiches, and chicken nuggets with all the meat missing. Student TAMARA PERRY says, "Criminals are getting better food than we are."
A school spokesperson says they can't confirm the origin of the photos circulating on social media, adding "Providing healthy and nutritious meals for all students is a contributing factor to high academic achievement and the district prides itself on doing so." (Still)Prison Follies:
You might be surprised to learn that a former BIN LADEN associate and current Guantanamo Bay prisoner has an online dating profile.
MUHAMMAD RAHIM AL-AFGHANI is reportedly screening potential love interests on Match.com. In fact, his lawyer confirms al-Afghani has been using the site regularly since 2007. The tagline on his dating profile reads: "detained but ready to mingle." And, he apparently gets matches on the site every single day. (Still) -
