Today's the day we find out whether your favorite show was nominated for an Emmy Award. "black-ish" star ANTHONY ANDERSON and "Gilmore Girls" and "Parenthood" star LAUREN GRAHAM will make the announcement at 11:30 am (Eastern)/8:30 am (Pacific) live from the Television Academy of Arts and Science in North Hollywood.
This year's Emmy Awards --the 68th edition-- will be hosted by five-time nominee JIMMY KIMMEL on Sun, Sep 18 live from LA's Microsoft Theater on ABC.The Reel Deal:
You've undoubtedly heard about the upcoming "Ghostbusters" reboot in theatres tomorrow (Fri, Jul 15). But, for real fans of the film, you might be interested in the "Ghostbusters" fan documentary, "Ghostheads," all about the fanatical fans of the movie who show up at Comic Cons, wearing Ghostbusters flight suits and home-made proton packs as well.
There's also interviews with DAN AYKROYD, IVAN REITMAN, ERNIE HUDSON, PAUL FEIG and PETER MOSEN, who has been dressing like Dan Aykroyd's Ray Stantz character since the first film came out --and whose fanaticism actually got him a cameo in the new film!
Look for the "Ghostheads" film on Netflix beginning tomorrow as well.Going Geek-dot-com /Caught in the Web:
We've discovered another spot to the growing list of places that is completely inappropriate to play "Pokemon Go!" This time, the Midwest Memorial Group warned gamers that searching for imaginary characters near ROSA PARKS grave at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit is disruptive and the civil rights legend has a right to rest in peace. To make things worse, players have popped up during funeral services around the country, which is disruptive to say the least. (Lee)
Fast Food:
Pizza Hut unveiled the latest way to get a hot pizza yesterday --you can order on Twitter or Facebook.
Fortune magazine reports that starting next month (August), you can order by chatting directly with the Pizza Hut accounts on either Twitter or Facebook through its Messenger app.
The company says, however, the feature only works when you "reorder favorite or saved orders from any U.S. location of the chain."
PS: Domino's has been using Twitter since last year; you can also text them an order. -
