Looking for Love in all the Wrong Places:
Quite frankly, she's better off without him.
Local media in the United Arab Emirates is reporting that a man divorced his wife the day after their wedding after seeing her for the first time without makeup.
The couple was on their honeymoon and the wife hit the beach, enjoying the sun, sand and surf. When she came out of the water, her husband realized that her makeup had washed off, leaving her au natural. He realized that she not only wore a ton of makeup, she wore false eyelashes, colored contact lenses and had cosmetic surgery.
He said he filed for divorce because he felt deceived by her artificial beauty. (Myers)The Reel Deal:
Just a couple of months after GENE WILDER's death (on Aug 29), Warner Brothers has picked up the rights to "Willy Wonka" from the ROALD DAHL Estate and is planning a new movie based on the character.
Varietysays the film will be "a standalone movie focused on Wonka and his early adventures," although there's no word on any other characters from the original movie or book who might be in the new film.Fashion Emergency:
HILLARY CLINTON supporters plan to march in support of National Pantsuit Day --a real thing that is actually happening this weekend. The Hollywood Reportersays this Saturday, October 22nd has been declared National Pantsuit Day (because at this point, why not? It's not like this election can get more ridiculous, right? Please? Right?). In New York City, the plan is for men and women to gather in Lower Manhattan wearing pantsuits and march in "shoulder padded unity" across the Brooklyn Bridge to the Democratic nominee's headquarters, culminating in a full-on pantsuit party. Matching sets are encouraged as is "professional attire that will make your mother proud."
The Pantsuit Day march was organized by Hillary Clinton supporter SAMI KREIGSTEIN. Weirdly, she says she was inspired by BERNIE SANDERS and yes, (sigh) DONALD TRUMP supporters! Kriegstein said she wasn't seeing any Clinton supporters dressing up the way the Bernie fans proudly wore their t-shirts and those red trucker hats Trump supporters wear, "Part of embracing Hillary is embracing who she is," said Kriegstein. "She's a little frumpy and dorky --and so is the pantsuit. So I thought, why not double-down on that."
The idea seems to have taken off. Since launching the NationalPantsuitDay.comwebsite and Facebook event, other cities like Los Angeles and Boston have organized their own Pantsuit Day celebrations. Celebrities like "My Drunk Kitchen's" HANNAH HART and GRACE HELBIG have joined in and Kriegstein says she's also been maintaining a National Pantsuit Day eBay collection to make shopping easier.
Editor's FYI: RALPH LAUREN and NINA McLEMORE are the two designers behind most of Hillary Clinton's most memorable pantsuit moments this year. (Bartha)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
WARNING: Bad language in the clip!
Before last night's final presidential debate, EMINEM dropped a new track. It's called "Campaign Speech" and he sticks it to DONALD TRUMP. The rapper also takes on GEORGE ZIMMERMAN, TRAYVON MARTIN, COLIN KAEPERNICK,ROBIN THICKE and many others. Yes, it's nasty and full of bad language. (Marino) -
