Lights Up

Neighbors two doors down still have their Christmas lights up and on. Icicles line the upper level of their house with red and green blinking bulbs surrounding the doorway. I want to understand their still being up, as many factors could be involved with this, like a family waiting for a service person to come home, to illness, or they could be someone who celebrates Christmas all year long. I've been in Georgia almost six months, I don't know these neighbors yet, in fact I really don't know any of my neighbors, except the house to my left, but they are up for sale and moving soon. It used to be when someone moved into a neighborhood they were greeted with a casserole or two. Now everyone tend to stick to themselves until they check you out. I'll figure I'm still in the checking out phase and the people a few house up who are still decking the halls are "the neighbors who leave their Christmas lights up year round. Think I have the better title for now.
