In a masterful attempt to follow in her mother's foodie footsteps my youngest told me about a new eatery that offers Waffold sandwiches. Waffold sandwiches start with a light and thin Belgian waffle that is flavorful but not sweet, add savory fillings such as Cajun fried chicken, turkey, or pastrami, then fold it over and enjoy. Sweet fillings such as Nutella with banana, fresh seasonal berries with lemon cream or ice cream with Belgian chocolate make an awesome dessert or mid day pick me up with a cup of coffee.
We unknowingly went to a Waffold on national Waffle Day and received two free sweets with the purchase of two savory Waffolds. The tastings began with many yums following every bite. It was a fun meal, too.
I grew up with waffles and ice cream, a standard boardwalk treat, but these sandwiches were a whole new delicious venture. The location of this eatery will play in it's favor as it's in a busy yet cute downtown section of a popular town. My best memory, was sharing this with my kid who already has another culinary adventure on the calendar for us. Anyone know what a Grindhouse burger is?She Buzz Words

our local dollar or discount store is a great place to save money on back to school supplies. Name-brand versions of supplies like pencils, rulers, highlighters, scissors, erasers, folders, and notebooks may be discounted to around $1 at dollar stores. You may not find everything you need, but it's worth a shot to see what they have in stock.• Get more She Prep at www.ShePrep.com
