I have a friend who is recovering from breast cancer. Before this diagnosis she was a beautiful, athletic working woman. And she still is. She tackled this disease with spirit and spunk, and this past weekend she had her fourth surgery. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. There a good chance your listener is affected some way by this, either in her immediate family, circle of friends or she could be a survivor with a story to tell. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Early detection and treatments are key to survival. About 1 in 8 U.S. women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her life. Think pink this month, and meet her where she's at.
