Groupon

My daughter waitress' part-time at a really great sushi-hibachi restaurant. She tells me that the customer turn over rate has diminished due to Groupon. Diners are only eating at places that offer these deals, and unless her establishment keeps up with it, their customer count changes dramatically. Everyone wants a deal, I say, and a radio station t-shirt. I always question if the Groupon represents a great deal, or a place that's trying to be great, and really isn't. If I do go out, I'm not always willing to take that chance. Because time is valuable, I want the experience or meal to be that way too. It's a curious piece for restaurant owners to not only keep up with foodie trends, but this particular marketing tool too. Groupons are enticing; they offer supposed great deals on almost anything. I was surprised when I saw a Groupon for a class on how to divorce, right next to the fifty percent off teeth whitening, and kayak trip.
