Soccer families, football moms, 5K organizers, and farmers with pumpkin patches and orchards are gearing up for the next few days to be busy with games, outings, details, and laundry. The big challenge many women with, or with out families, face is going into a weekend and managing their time effectively. How do they handle the necessary needs; laundry, groceries, yard work and navigate through kids birthday parties, Friday night football games, Saturday morning soccer that ends up being an all day event. My neighbor Bev will wake at 5 a.m. tomorrow and be on the road by 6:30 with her daughters matching band; they are headed for a competition and won't return until Sunday night. Her Friday night consists of laundry and grocery shopping and packing for the weekend because she "swamped." Meg has been trying to see the movie "The Butler" for 4 weeks now, but her weekend family needs haven't allowed her this much time. She wonders if movie theaters would ever consider having a early bird breakfast showing. Popcorn for breakfast anyone?

Late summer/early autumn is often an ideal time for outdoor exercise, but unpredictable temperatures should remind you to properly care for your shoes. Though keeping sneakers in the car is a convenient way to be prepared for a spontaneous workout, beware of extreme weather: Both hot and cold weather can wear down the rubber in your shoes—especially heat, which can warp EVA (the material in the midsole)• Get more She Prep at www.ShePrep.com
