Traffic school is not the best way to spend a Saturday. But, when it comes to eliminating points off a speeding ticket, it's the place to be! This is where my friend Jen found herself this past weekend. I received a 'big sigh' text just after my Boot Camp class, where I usually see her, and remembered she told me of her penance. Throughout the day, I'd get little texts reminding me of defensive driving lessons I just paid to have my kids learn. Road rage, what to do if your car falls into deep water (wait until fully submerged so the water pressure is equalizer, than open a door or try to break a window.) Even though they were meant as a vent, the reminder was absorbed. Jen is not a speeder, per se; she's a good driver who got caught on a road-trip to visit her mom in Florida. Driving over the limit (while chatting hands-free with a girlfriend) she readily admits she should have used cruise control, and will never make this mistake again. I think the loss of an entire Saturday was more costly to her than the fine. I know I learned her lesson. Did you?

After spotting a billboard that read SCDiaperChange.com, Amanda Payne learned that some poverty stricken moms have only one diaper per day, for their baby. Outraged, Amanda set up an enormous diaper drive and collected 19,000 diapers for women and babies in need. Log on to the site to hold your own drive.
