It's "Back to School' physical time. In order to enroll my daughter in a Georgia public school I needed to get her checked out at a Georgia Health Department Clinic. What ended up being a 5 minute visit to make sure she had teeth and eyes that could see and ears that hear, plus a 5 minute review by the nurse took all day, literally. We arrived before the doors opened at 8:30 and we were fifth in line. By 10:30 we were still waiting. I started to get anxious, as we had another appointment scheduled at 11:15. When I inquired about the wait I was told that my paperwork will be put into the system soon. Ugh. I took a chance, went to the appointment, and returned to the health clinic at 12:30. They still hadn't called my daughters name to be seen! I'm not sure what the hold up was, I was afraid to ask. By 2:00 we received all the necessary paperwork and a few vaccinations that would have cost five times as much at the Pediatrician's office.
So when you're wondering what a woman could be doing at any given time, she could be driving back in complete disbelief that her entire day was consumed by her states health office, even though she arrived before the doors opened and was fifth in line.• Get more She Prep at www.ShePrep.com
