Many people are receiving a notice from LinkedIn.com this week, as the site celebrates reaching the 200-million-member milestone. It is a fantastic example on how to use social currency to create sharing and a make huge impact.
The declaration of being in the Top 5% of users is easy to share and makes those who receive it feel special. It's the key of social currency and it is what drives social in every way.
Just look at your tweets or Facebook Timeline, and I'm betting you've seen someone you know sharing the LinkedIn announcement.
