Today, like most of you, I watch the sad news from Boston. I ask myself, "How can this tragedy be turned into something to make a difference?"
Well, it was 12 seconds that changed lives forever and I believe that time can be re-purposed for something good.
In an age where time is more valuable than money and each of us may have sympathy and empathy but wonder, "How can I do something that matters?"
In 12 seconds you can act by making a donation, decide to give blood, call someone you may know in Boston (or anywhere) to say I'm thinking of you or I love you, choose to volunteer, and so on.
The real marathon of life is hope and that is why a #12secondmarathon seemed like the right idea for this moment.
