Curiouser And Curiouser
April 2, 2013
Traits of the great...
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but I think it's an essential trait for your success.
All the best air talent and programmers I've ever known have what I would describe as a restless curiosity.
They're interested in people.
They're interested in new ideas.
They're interested in learning.
Think about it. Think about the most successful people in your life, the most interesting people you listen to, or watch.
And then look at the patterns in your own life.
How do you push yourself to get outside your comfort zones?
Being curious may come more naturally to some, but it's still work. And there's no shame in needing someone to push you occasionally, just as some of us need personal trainers to instill the discipline of daily exercise.
Are you coasting ... or are you curious?
What will you learn or discover today that would absolutely delight the people who listen to you?
That is your job, isn't it, to become "curiouser?"
