Thought starters for your next planning brainstorm session.
Most Content Directors and their teams have one thing in common.
They are time poor.
With all the day-to-day distractions (the monitoring of your own output, checking to see if it has been amplified on Twitter and/or Facebook etc), finding the time to be creative with your teams is tough.
Here are a bunch of ideas for you to take into your next planning meeting. I’m betting there’s a couple you can use.

Everyone remembers the "Birthday Game"
.... a great radio game for a reach/cume injection and fixed time daily listening

The Selfie Workday challenge
Get the work mates together...cram as many people into your selfie as possible and get to your radio station via Twitter/FB/Instagram etc/
Fantastic for workday listening....

Get your listeners involved...........
The One Question Game (thanks Christian from Absolute Radio in the UK)

Now we have 3 chances to guess what it is......
The Love Tour...........a wonderful example of how getting out of the studio and actually touching listeners works...................
Thanks to Rian Van Heerden for this................... (hopefully he won’t mind me sharing his note to me ...)Howzit Phil!
Just wanted to drop you a mail to say thanks for the Love Tour Idea!
What a time we've had... It reminded me once again why I'm in this game..
We visited 17 small towns and (to my surprise) were welcomed with open arms and an outpouring of love and generosity I've seldom experienced..
And wow Phil.. The stories..
I don't know where to start!
We're damn tired..But no doubt richer..
Thanks again.
R.The premise is simple. Get out of the studio and visit all areas of your TSA.
Include a forced ‘hook back’ to your morning show for the next day.(thanks to Peter Gordon from UKRD. )
Police Sketch Artistry....all in the name of fun on the air(and the driving of social media)Sketching talent or listeners is always fun.
Finally, something that’s been around for a few months ... (thanks to Nick Grubb, Head of Radio. Kagiso Media) ... it is Google's tracking of music genre popularity over the years... fascinating:
