BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
I have been with iHeartMedia/Riverside for five years. I began as an intern and have been in the promotion director position for the last three years.
1. What got you into radio?
My college had a very hands-on student run radio station on campus. I took the class as an elective and fell in love with radio. It was fully student run so we had complete responsibility for our shows. There was no looking back after that.
2. What did you dream of becoming when you were a kid?
I wanted to be a sports analyst for ESPN. As the youngest, growing up with brothers I rarely had control of the TV, so we watched a lot of ESPN. I would always think “Wow, these people get paid to sit and talk about spots, I want to do that!” Lol
3. What has been the biggest change in your job during the pandemic?
As a station, we were always super active in the community, so going from being super “up close” with our listeners to having to do everything via Zoom was a huge adjustment for us.
4. Personally, any new skills developed during the pandemic?
I learned to do at-home screen printing during quarantine! And gained a whole new respect for professional screen printers. I only messed up about four shirts before I actually was successful!
5. The Inland Empire is growing and developing so fast. Before the pandemic, how tough was covering the huge number of communities and the distance between them promotionally?
As fast as it is expanding, the one thing that stays the same is our listeners’ love for the IE as a whole. Despite the huge area that our station covers, our listeners make it so much easier because they are so dedicated.
6. Has anything surprised you about what your stations' audiences want prize-wise?
It always surprises me how well fast-food giveaways go. Our listeners love gift cards to the local fast-food restaurants.
7. If you weren't in radio, what do you think you'd be doing professionally?
I would probably be doing something in the sports industry.
8. What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to do crafty stuff. I got a Cricut during the pandemic so I’ve been making a lot of decals and signs lately. I’ve also been doing more photography lately which has been really fun as well.
9. If you could be on any TV reality show or game show, which would you want to be on?
Definitely Jeopardy! I love trivia shows so Jeopardy would be the gold standard of that.
10. As Southern California opens up from our pandemic shutdown, what are you looking forward to the most?
Live events for sure. Concerts, festivals, anything with live music and people lol

I just binged Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Solider! It’s been so good!
