This is the first track from Carlos Santana's newest album: "Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time" featuring India.Arie and Yo-Yo Ma. As has been Santana's M.O. of late, the project features several other special guest artists, too, including Pat Monahan from Train, Rob Thomas from Matchbox 20, Ray Manzarek of the Doors, Joe Cocker, Jonny Lang and many more! The album is in stores and online on September 21st. Look for TV appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on September 16th and "The George Lopez Show" on September 22nd.
You don't get much more legendary than Elton John and Leon Russell – two amazing pianists as well as songwriters! Rumors have been swirling about for almost a year about this project and it is finally ready to come out! "If It Wasn't for Bad" is our fist taste from "The Union" – produced by T Bone Burnett. It is being released on October 19th and the album marks the first time these iconic artists have worked together since 1970. "The Union" features a variety of musical genres from R&B, soul and gospel to country, pop and rock.
The 88 have more of a story behind them than most people realize. They have been together since 2002. The 88 have toured with The Flaming Lips, Smashing Pumpkins, Rilo Kiley and were Ray Davies' backing and opening band on his 2010 world tour. Many of their songs have been included in film and TV, including shows such as "How I Met Your Mother," "Grey's Anatomy," "Weeds" and "Gossip Girl."
"They Ought To See You Now" (which features Davies on backing vocals) is from their new self-titled album available on iTunes on September 14th and everywhere else on September 28.
If you were lucky enough to see Lauren Pritchard open one of the sessions at this year's Triple A Conference, then you already know she is a very special artist. Born and raised in Jackson, TN, Pritchard moved to Los Angeles at 16, where she lived with Lisa-Marie Presley. She eventually got her career started as a musical actress, playing the 15-year-old runaway "Ilse" on the off-Broadway show Spring Awakening for two years. Her songwriting and performing has since matured as evidenced by her first focus track to Triple A, "Not the Drinking." Her debut album, "Wasted," will be available on October 28th.
