1. How did you become interested in radio?
I heard Howard Stern every day when my mom was driving me to school. At the time I assumed that I would never actually see a girl naked and that my only chance was radio. So far this has not happened though.
2. What was your favorite station to listen to when you were a kid?
WBCN without a doubt, and they still rock. Besides my show, WBCN's Toucher and Rich are my favorites.
3. What led you to KJEE?
I moved to Santa Barbara because I heard it was a party town. I knew when I came here that I would be wanted to work in radio so I listened to all the stations and one of their morning show hosts cracked me up. His name is Spencer Fischer and is currently one of my co-hosts. I would still be an intern if it wasn't for his help. I got lucky because the bosses are really cool too, they knew I would make mistakes sometimes and I have tried to learn from them. Shout out to Jim, Eddie, Blazer, and Kevin.
4. Explain your role on the KJEE Morning Show?
Remember when Jim Rome was good? Well I am a better version of that. When I was little I said if I ever got into radio I would go for it all the way. I ask the funny tough questions. Example: I asked Hillary Clinton "If Bill gave you a freebie who would you do" and then when she said she didn't know I said "I bet its Oprah." I am willing to risk being hounded by the IRS if she becomes president for a funny question.
5. How would you describe your Sports segment?
My segment has a major east coast flair. It is trash talk, but trash talk with some intellect. People like Steven A. Smith just complain to complain but I ask valid questions. An example would be when I had Lamar Odom on the line and I asked him "As someone who has violated the NBA's anti-drug policy twice, what is it a pro-ball that makes a man want to toke up?" Thought provoking questions.
6. What part of your job do you like best? Least?
My favorite part of the job is the creative aspect. I love writing and putting together skits and watching it come together. My least favorite part is taking out the trash every morning.
7. What's one thing that would surprise many people to learn about you?
I have been on the dating show next. I got nexted immediately when I got off the bus and said "What's up jugs?" Also I am colorblind and have allergies.
8. Of all the things you've done at KJEE, what are you most proud of?
My interview with the Clippers guard Sam Cassell. It was featured on best week ever, Sports Illustrated, WBCN, and many newspapers. I have also gotten no less than 100 death threats from it. I ask the question that everyone wants to know. If you (the reader) want to see the craziest interview ever here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHZhKKkmW_w
9. Fill in the blank: I can't make it through the day without _________?
Coffee and porn
10. What is the one truth that has held constant throughout your career?
It isn't necessarily the best who will win, but it is the person who works the hardest and is willing to take the risks. I wouldn't want to compete against me because I will out hustle you.
