BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
Started radio career back in the 1990s at WHOB/Nashua, moved on to WEQX/Manchester, ended up at WBTZ..."I'll keep showing up until they change the locks on the front door."
1. How did you first become interested in radio?
Stayed home on a snow day (couldn't sleep because of the excitement of no school!!) back in junior high and tuned in WZOU outta Boston, heard the morning show and something clicked about playing music and telling jokes for a "job."
2. You've been anchoring mornings on The Buzz for about 20 years, right. Take us back to your move from WEQX to WBTZ?
Shout out to my then co-host at EARLY 'EQX Donna Frank, best co-host I ever had the pleasure to work with!!! Spent about 5-5 ½ years at the legendary WEQX and learned so much radio knowledge from Ian Harrison, John Allers, Kyle Guderian, Alexa Tobin, and Josh. Matt Grasso, formerly of WEQX (I replaced him when he left the big historic radio house), called on me 1 day out of nowhere and pulled me from Manchester to Burlington, VT.
3. You guys have a solid team over there. What's it like working at Hall Communications with PD Kevin Mays?
Who?? Kevin is great to work with...solid team leader and open to new, creative ideas at all times! Plus, he is a semi-pro cornhole player...check him out on ESPN 8 "the Ocho."
4. Tell us about The Morning Buzz from 6-10a.
One man...one mouth...one mic.
5. How would you describe your on-air style?
In a word...Terrible. I'm the dude in the group just being me, not trying to be better than everyone else. No radio ego here. That's not my style. Come along for the ride, hang out for the music, and my verbal antics...or not.
6. What is your show prep routine?
Caffeine and the internet as well as the voices inside my head...my melon...my dome piece.
7. What do you love most about being on-air?
It doesn't feel like a job. More like recess for adults.
8. How are you using social media to augment what you're doing on-air?
I'm constantly on the social medias prompting the BUZZCREW agenda with sarcasm and wit. Shameless self-promotion yo!
9. What would surprise people most about you?
I'm allergic to mayonnaise.
