BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:

FIRST CONCERT:
Crystal Gayle with my grandma. My first concert by choice was Candlebox.
FAVORITE BAND OF ALL-TIME:
I have too many, but a few favorites are Rage Against The Machine, Incubus, and Linkin Park.
1. How did you become interested in radio?
The GM for a local company told me I'd be good so, he gave me an overnight chance and I loved it!
2. What was your favorite station to listen to when you were a kid?
99 hit fm, Rock 99, and Hot 106.7 in Springfield.
3. What's one thing that would surprise many people to learn about you?
I love to garden -- I have a green thumb.
4. Why was Q102 so successful in the Spring '09 Book?
Because we have kick ass on-air personalities who care about our music, listeners, our presence and community. We focus on brand awareness in the market and dominate Springfield with our content promotions more than any other station in this market. Period.
5. What were the ratings highlights for the station?
We were #1 Men 18-34, Persons 18-34, Men 18-49, and #2 Persons 24-59. Lex & Terry were unreal in morning drive-- #1 Adults 18-49!
6. What are you most proud of from the station's HUGE Spring '09 Book?
Finally seeing Arbitron put diaries in our listeners hands! It's soooo hard to get men 18-34 to fill out a diary. We have an event marketing department now that is helping us with large events that are a big part of our ratings and revenue success!
7. How has Q102 changed in the past year?
We have not changed much. We play a few older tunes like AC/DC, GNR & Ozzy but we feel we have a brand that works and we stick to it!
8. What may surprise people the most about the station?
We are the oldest station in our building out of four stations at Midwest Family Springfield. We are about to hit eight years.
9. What stands out the most about your first few days in radio?
I was tired. There was a lot going on and I wanted to know it all.
10. What is the one truth that has held constant throughout your career?
Local companies where the decision maker is in the building. It's really a blessing and a rarity. I'm lucky to be part of a REAL, locally run station.
