Notice the GREEN exit sign instead of the ordinary RED one. You’ll understand the meaning behind that as you keep reading. First, put yourself into these common situations.
The sporting event you’re at is a blowout, and if you don’t wanna get stuck in traffic, there’s a precise moment where you should head to your car.
It’s THE moment at a party when you subconsciously feel like it’s time to leave.
You’re a DJ doing an on-air break, and after you’ve finished you feel like it went too long.
DEFINITION OF EXIT
(noun)
The act of going away or out.
A passage or way out.
The departure of a performer from the stage.

HERE’S THE TAKEAWAY
The art of knowing when to exit is leaving the listener wanting more. Here’s a hint. Find the peak of your break …that’s the exit. Most of the time, everything after the peak just goes downhill from there.
