Fervent RecordsDiscography:
Cadia (2008)1) What's it been like being signed with Fervent Records?
Courtney: When we found out Fervent Records was interested in us, we were thrilled. We had always been fans of BarlowGirl, Big Daddy Weave, By the Tree, Group1Crew and pureNRG! From the first time we met with the Fervent staff, we fell in love. They were so loving and supportive of our career. They immediately wanted to know how they could help us get our message across. It is just what every artist wants to hear!
2) What's the story behind the single "Trust in Me Now"?
Courtney: "Trust in Me Now" is an amazing song written by Sam Mizell and his wife Becca. The first time it was played for us we were blown away. We knew that this song would touch so many lives as well as our own. Every time I sing "Trust in Me Now" I get tears in my eyes. It is such an amazing song that realizes that people have pain in their lives, but that it will all be okay.
3) What message do you hope is conveyed on your debut album?
Courtney: The main message of our album is honesty. We want to be transparent to our fans. We want them to know that we make mistakes and that our lives aren't perfect. Just because God has given us the gift of singing, does not mean that we don't go through the same struggles as everyone else. Our ultimate goal is for our audience to see that even though they mess up, God's love will cover every single one of their mess ups, downfalls, and mistakes without question. He is for us, not against us!
4) You made a video for "Inside Out." Tell us a bit about that experience.
Courtney: "Inside Out" was our first music video to shoot! It was a blast! We made two different versions. One for the "Revolve" tour, and one for Cadia. It was so much fun working with the "Revolve" tour staff as well as Natalie Grant, Ayiesha Woods and KJ-52. The main message of the video was to let the inside show on the outside no matter what other people think. The song is so empowering to young women today because the demands of this world tells girls how they should look, dress and feel. This song is an anthem more than anything.
5) As you were in the studio recording, did you have an "ah-ha" moment when you thought, "Wow, I can't believe we're making this record"?
Courtney: Definitely! From the first moment I stepped in the studio I was like, "Wow! This is it!" I think it really hit me when I heard my voice coming from the speakers! I had chills all over my body! This is what I was meant to do!
6) What's your favorite song to perform live?
Tori: My favorite song perform live Trust In Me Now. I love it when it gets to the bridge; that's my favorite part.
7) As you get ready for the tour with Avalon, what thoughts are going through your head?
Tori: 1) "I am so excited to hang out and get to know these talented godly artists." 2) "I hope I don't forget anything from home." 3) " I can't believe this is really happening!"
8) What thought went through your head when you heard that your song "Inside Out" would be used for the "Revolve" tour?
Tori: "This is crazy, I can't believe it!" I was really excited that our song was going to be a part of "Revolve." "Revolve" is an amazing conference for girls and I feel so blessed that our song was/is a part of this year's conference.
9) If you were going to do something outside music career-wise, what would you do?
Tori: If I weren't doing music, I would want to be a volleyball coach. I played in middle school and high school, and I loved it. I think I would love being a coach.
10) Not every day is a cake walk for people who travel and work together, how do you guys handle being friends as well as co-workers?
Tori: Courtney and I really balance each other out because our personalities are different. One thing that we are really good at is listening to each other. That is something that is so important in a friendship and in a co-worker situation.

Courtney: I would have my Bible, tweezers and iPod!
2) If you could join any other band (past or present), which one would you join and why?
Tori: If it is possible for a girl to be a Beatle, I would want to be a part of The Beatles. I would just want to know what it felt like to be them for a day. They probably didn't know when they did those songs that they would still be loved in 2008.
Courtney: I would have loved to work with Johnny Cash!
