BRIEF CAREER SYNOPSIS:
This is a career?
1) What was your first job in radio? Early influences?
Overnight weather, commercial production and overnight TV news anchor. My dad was also was a great inspiration.
2) What do you think is the most important topic facing the Music Business and Radio right now?
Keeping listeners participating Why? Today's listener has a short attention span. They are hard to impress.
3) What does Christian Radio need to do in order to break through to a mass audience on a more consistent basis?
Quit accepting product that is supposed to fit all formats. I call it force-feeding the music. I know its about selling the most product...but there is a better way. Not every song or artist is destined to cross all formats. You know what one size fits all clothes look like. Lets stop doing it to the Christian music format.
4) Can you be a boss and also a friend to your employees?
You can be a friendly boss.
5) What do you like best about your job?
Keeps me thinking young. Meeting new people and seeing creative things happen.
Least? Non-productive meetings.
6) What are the most important tools/resources you use to stay on top of the Christian format's growth and changes?
Networking. Internet. Talking to Ally Clark...and Shannon Becker.
7) If you could have any job outside the music business, what would it be?
Computer hacker.
8) Is it true that, like the Kevin Bacon game, just about everyone can be tied back to Springfield, MO?
Yes. Yes and Yes. Just Ask Rob Poznanski. Ask anyone in Nashvillevegas about Springfield, MO and they will know someone from here or they have lived or been here.
9) What is your favorite passage of Scripture?
Psalm 37:4 - "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
10) What is it that motivates you to be 'All You Can Be?'
God gave his best. I want to give back the best for him.

I finally got it a TREO 650. I can control the radio station with it!
2) Do you have any favorite artist stories or run-ins?
The day I held up Kurt Warner and FFH with a pair of bananas after a GMA party.
3) Which character in the Bible do you most relate to?
ADAM Why? Never had money and nothing to wear.
4) What is the most precious memory of your life so far?
My daughter's birth.
5) If you could ask God about anything, what would it be?

Growing old is mandatory...but growing up is optional.
