1. Please tell us how 2020 changed your relationships?
Among the five of us in the band, it gave us a bit more opportunity to simply hang out together instead of just working together. It gave us a chance to do a bit of check in with one another to see how life was without any work distractions. We did spend a lot of 2020 working on our new record inhale (exhale). Making a new record can be a very time consuming and stressful time, but we were able to focus in and make one our favorite projects that we have ever done.
2. Share the most challenging part of the past year.
Having to navigate our ‘business’ while not being able to travel and play shows has been very challenging on multiple levels. We are making it though but are ready to get back on the road consistently.
3. Some really great advice you received recently was
My dad was recently reminding me that change doesn’t always feel good. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to happen.
4. How do you continue to deepen your relationship with Jesus?
Staying in the Bible and making sure my family is paying attention to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives is always a focus of ours.
5. Share about that new song of yours.
We have been doing this music thing long enough now that our children are following in our footsteps. Sam Millard (Bart’s oldest son), has been singing and working on his own music for a couple years now. He started working on a song with a couple other guys, and we ended up hearing the song and loving where it was going. Bart had a talk with Sam and asked very nicely if we could take it, finish it out, and put it on our new record. Sam hesitated for a bit but ultimately decided that his dad was still cool enough to do the song justice… haha! We love the energy of “On Our Way” and it’s hope filled message. We look forward to it being a staple song that we are able to perform for years to come.
6. Tell us about someone who you really respect and why?
I have a friend, unnamed, who is always reminding me to seek the Kingdom of God. I am in awe of how he is able to keep that in mind. It is a practice he has that I endeavor to take on myself.
7. What would surprise people most about you?
I once stabbed a sword all the way though my left foot… a story for another time.
8. What’s on your nightstand?
A glass of water. A lamp. A book about traditional archery. A flashlight. A note pad and pen.
9. What are you most excited about this year?

10. What do you do for fun?
