More Social Distancing

Feed It Forward
103.7 The Q in Birmingham put this together and got it on the air in 3 hours, proving again that Radio is in fact Rocket Science. One winner a day gets dinner for four delivered to their home. https://1037theq.iheart.com/contests/feed-it-forward-814844/
A Mental Health Day
Literally.
For people who have depression it’s hard to make it to the next day even when everything is going great. Right now I’m checking in every day with two radio people and a former radio friend who are just barely getting by. This was like THE last straw they needed. So what if you took a day across all of the brands for a mental health expo?
You could have links to resources. Facebook live sessions from people. I’ve seen stations do phone banks with counselors in regard to battered women. Have therapists available to Skype or other connect with and talk with people.
Exercise is a huge component with battling depression. Diet. Connections. There are probably several ways to tie in clients.
I’d also do a quick perusal of the local ad community and see what corporations or business leaders are active and support these initiatives.
Why Is This Not A Gallery Promotion?
People have begun sharing their screwed up haircuts, so, why not share them with you and maybe win a REALLY nice hairstyling session when this wraps up? https://cavemancircus.com/2020/03/30/quarantine-haircuts/#more-88967
Happy Hours
John and Tammy at KSON in San Diego have begun taking turns every afternoon with hosting one of these. 30 minutes of Facetimed cocktails, they take questions, send out shouts and it’s been a homerun. And it’s been sold. As have a series at Radio Fargo/Moorhead.
