Adopt A Family

I was Teaming with a station yesterday and it’s going to be very difficult for their Risk Management team to approve “anything that could generate a crowd.” I don’t disagree. Crowds = Bad.

The reason Chet’s toy drive at KLUC is so successful is because of the “marathon element”, ie: the guy living on a scaffold for ten days outside.

You COULD do a marathon and stream it. In the studio. In the bathroom. On their balcony. On the roof of a McDonalds. In their car. But there needs to be a hook, like, “No showers” and 24 hours-do-not-a-marathon-maketh. It needs to be several days.

Adopting families is safe and usually tugs at heartstrings.

You can either put a tree on the site, covered by ornaments. Click on an ornament and a bio for a family pops up with what they need for Christmas 2020. No names. Just a family outline,: Mom 41, Daughter 12, Daughter 10, son 5.

People can select a family and take care of their material needs. If there was a way for “our friends at” kind of clients to help out, that would be great. “Our friends at Metro Mobility have stepped in to help one of our families who needs a ramp…”

Or do what Star in Knoxville and have an accredited agency do the matching.

Free Money Turkey

One of the stations that is using a Halloween theme for their group contest will be switching next week to…the Free Money Turkey. Here is the promo without the numbers and times:

Somewhere deep under the Nevada desert the government was working on a project so insidious that it could alter not just the poultry industry…but our entire financial system. The project?
