Turk Tok

Now, some stations historically can not get listeners to submit videos or photos, and if that is your situation, move along. There’s nothing to see here.

But, if you think you could motivate your audience to submit a “Turk Tok” video for either a free turkey, or even passes to a club gig the night before Thanksgiving (one of the busiest club nights of the year), then, there ya go.

Usually it’s best to give people a task or theme. Like:

1. Your aunt who gets hammered after one glass of wine at Thanksgiving
2. Baste your sibling
3. Stick a wattle on your dog
4. If a turkey could dance, show us what it would be like
5. What code words do you and your siblings use around the adults at Thanksgiving

Post and pick a few randomly.

Elf On The Pet

Elves are one of the comedic elements that we can take and play with for Christmas.

KS95 in the Twin Cities does “The Teeny Tiny Elf Toss” at a grocery store event. Lob a tiny stuffed elf at a target. Get it in and win groceries. Boom. G-101.3 has Lloyd The Elf voice all their Christmas imaging. “Elf Theater” with helium was done by one of the SFO stations.

I’ve never “gotten” the “Elf On The Shelf” and to be honest, he kind of creeps me out.

But we KNOW that most assuredly people will decorate their pets for prizes. And even not for prizes. If you asked them to pair up the creepy elf for a pic with their pet, they would. And I can’t imagine that you couldn’t get this sponsored.
