A Turkey Toss

At 93.1 The Wolf in Greensboro, they’ve come up with a creative way to pick winners for free turkeys. From Annie Owens:

We designate which member of the morning show will throw that day, and send them into the parking lot with our 20lb frozen Turkey. They are connected to Comrex on their phone and we get a listener on the phone in the studio (so everyone can hear one another and speak), the listener guesses how many parking spaces the host will throw the Turkey- then we toss that bird across the parking lot and see how far it goes!

They guess correctly, they win (they always win)

We’re going into a very dramatic 7-10 days in the US: Thanksgiving + Families. Much like Write A Song Wednesday, could you on Monday after the long weekend, take some listeners tail of “meeting his family” and Taylor-ize it?

Kind of like Kennedy at Mix in Boston who Taylor-ized her old love notes from 7th grade.

I’m not sure if you saw the Cincy tree from last year but that really summed up 2020.

We’re going into a time of the year when it’s traditional for stations to ask listeners to submit photos of their festively decorated trees and kids and houses and pets. What if you instead had them go and find a frail sapling and hang an ornament on it and submit that as an entry?
