1. What Got You Interested In Radio?
Listening to music non-stop!
2. What makes the San Francisco market unique? How does this compare to other markets or stations you have worked at?
San Francisco has many different communities, causes, climates and natural boundaries. As a listen at work radio station, you need to relate to many cultures and embrace the tech workers, the doctor's office, agriculture and everything in between.
3. How do you market your radio station? How are you reaching the target demos?
We are heavy Social Media Marketers. We keep a lot of the clutter off the air and make sure prize giveaways are worth stopping the momentum of the radio station to announce.
4. What is it about your show that you feel really makes it cut through?
KOIT is inclusive and local as possible. It's a delicate balance to keep your audience engaged and entertained while listening at work but not talk too much.
5. How do you prep yourself for your radio shift?
I listen to the local news every morning, I follow social media, I bug my kid and his friends, check-in with my co-workers to see what people are talking about.
6. What do you view as the most important issue facing radio today?
Revenue! Without it we all die!
7. How are you using social media to market your radio station and your show?
Facebook, Blogs, Videos, "Teri's Recipes", E-blasts, Facebook LIVE, Tweeting, Instagram and videos of #busterthepug. He's more popular than I am!
8. What do you like best about working in the AC format compared to other genres?
AC is all about the connection with the listener. My listeners trust me, they can drive around with their six year-old daughter in the back seat and they are guaranteed that I won't say anything to make that person feel uncomfortable. I hold that trust very seriously.
9. Besides social media, what are some of the other ways that you stay in tune with your audience?
I try to make that connection off the air as much as possible, talking to listeners on the phone, at appearances, I call the members of our Club and wish them Happy Birthday and invite winners to the KOIT studio when they come to pick up prizes.
10. What advice would you give people new to the business?
Wear many different hats. The more skills you have the more valuable you are. On-Air is not enough anymore. Marketing, Video Editing, Copywriting and Branding skills will all make you a better communicator.

Dale Dorman, Sunny Joe White, Miss Melons Steve Rivers, Sean Demery, Brian Figula.
What is the most rewarding promotion or activity your station has ever been involved with to benefit the community or a charity?
We had a small girl that was a burn victim and we were able to send her and her family to Disneyland. It was so very sweet, because they didn't ask for tickets and we surprised her. All promotions when we give back to the community are very rewarding.

What was the biggest gaffe you've made on air?
I said a naughty word on the air during a Romeo Void song when the News Guy left the mic open in the production studio after a newscast. No one noticed.
