KQBL/OKLAHOMA CITY OK1) What was your first job in radio?
I was a dancing "Rabbit" (or wabbit) at the now defunct WABT in Dundee, Illinois
2) What led you to a career in radio? Was there a defining moment, which made you realize "this is it"? Early influences?
I grew up in Chicago listening to the likes of Steve & Garry, Larry Lujack, and my all time favorite Jonathon Brandmeier. These guys were my hero's and I knew from an early age that I wanted to do what they were doing. Jonathon Brandmeier He was always to me the quintessential air talent. The guy connected with Chicago in a way that no one has since. I still listen to his tapes from the 80's and 90's and laugh my ass off!
3) If you were just starting out in radio, knowing now, what you didn't then, would you still do it?
Of course! I have no other marketable skills so I don't see where I would have any other choice. I'd be lucky to get a job at The Gap!
4) What do you view as the most important issue facing radio today?
Finding good talent that is willing to work towards success instead of it just being handed to them!.
5) How do you feel terrestrial radio competes with the satellite radio and Internet these days?
I think terrestrial radio will always be on top. Satellite can be as compelling and entertaining, but they cannot be as local. It's as simple as that! So as long as you give your audience entertaining, compelling and local radio you will always come out on top!
6) Besides your own, what is your favorite radio format?
I love rock radio when it's done well! The KATT in Oklahoma City is my personal favorite.
7) If you could add any one full-time position to your budget with no questions asked, what would it be?
A stripper/omelette chef with webbed feet.
8) What's the best concert you've been to so far this year and why?
U2. Do I have to explain why? C'mon it's U2!!!!
9) What are your three favorite artists or songs of this year?
Anna Nalick: "Breathe (2am)," Rob Thomas: "Lonely No More," Gavin Degraw: "I don't want to be."
10) What was the biggest gaffe you've made on air? (dead air ... forget a mic was still on ... etc.)
I dropped the F-bomb while I was on the air in Kenosha. Thank God no one was listening to that station at the time!

How did you get your on-air name?
My parents put it on my birth certificate.
Who would be your dream guest on the show?
Regis or David Letterman.
