It's a holiday weekend! By now you should know where you are going to end the month. If corporate calls, can you tell them? And be correct? Remember, if you're wrong too many times, they won't believe you anymore. Then when you ask for promotion money or cash for TV, they won't believe you, either. Oops! Better talk to the Sales Manager again before you leave for the long weekend. Have a safe holiday!

Lateness ... on-air, in sales meetings, for appointments ... at any time causes an erosion of trust. Each person on your staff is expected to return calls, reply to e-mails, and get reports in on time. The office hours should be followed to the letter. If people see others get away with it, they will assume you don't care. Enforce the policy equally. No favorites.

How are collections? Take a walk over to accounting; say "hi" to the accounts receivable department. They miss you, especially if you haven't reviewed the ageing this quarter.

Is the April Miller-Kaplan in? How did you do? Are you happy with your market share line? If not, go through every account line by line. Check and see the revenue vs. last year. Try to keep all discretional sales expenses flat or less than 2007.

It's Monday. How many sales calls are YOU going to do this week? I usually do anywhere from three to five. Have the Sales Manager set you up for the week. Do it now.
Summer is just about here. Having a summer concert? How is it going? Is everything buttoned down? Security? Booth sales? Now is the time to maximize beyond the ticket sales.
