So what about this crowdcasting? If you haven't heard about it, chances are you will soon ... or your PD will, wanting to "give it a shot."
It combines social media with broadcasting, where listeners have full control over what airs on the station. You can check it out here to get the full scoop. Listeners vote in real time on what gets played and voice their opinion. Now don't get that scared ... you can still provide a "universe" of accessible titles, but beyond that, to do it right, most of the control is in the hands of the audience.
Listeners can also integrate Jelli with their Facebook page, for example, and invite friends to tune in for the free for all.
This could be the kind of marketing you need, but you have to be willing to give up some of the control ... decisions, decisions.
