Live Reads On Radio Are A Unique Offering...
But LIVE Reads that are pre-recorded to sound LIVE are not LIVE reads. As an industry, we have to get back to saying truthful words to our clients, staff and direct reports. If we are seen as folks who conveniently bend the truth in areas as simple as whether or not a commercial is read really live or not, when does that turn into not trusting that we ran the spot at all? Or that the entire morning show is on tape? Too many options to radio these days for folks to invest their ad money into to risk being caught lying on grand scale.
