Celebrating The History Of A Brand Is Actually The Only Way To Prove An Actual Brand Existed!
If you don't celebrate your history in a clever modern manner, then you have less of a brand --
- Wonder Woman remake.
- Beatles 50th Anniversary remix.
- Super Bowl LI, etc...
The most celebrated radio announcer this past year was Vin Sculley. He worked for a baseball team, calling games on the radio. Consolidation would have made sure he was long gone if they had anything to say about it :)
Celebrating history in a modern manner is not most radio stations' strong suit and thus, the brands are less potent.
Most radio stations have ignored the very thing that separates them from other audio platforms -- celebrating their rich history in a modern way.
