Have an opinion? Add your comment below. I was a little eight year old sitting in the back of my dad's car when the DJ on the radio said, after playing Andy Gibbs "Everything,” …"there's Andy Gibb with I just want to be your underwear.” I knew at that moment I wanted to be your underwear (and the voice that came out of that box in the car).

1. What was your first job in radio and early influences?
K-100 Porterville, Ca playing elevator versions of "Under My Thumb" and Barry Manilow favorites. My early influences were Dusty Street and Doug the Slug both from KROQ.
2. What led you to a career in radio?
I was a little eight year old sitting in the back of my dad's car when the DJ on the radio said, after playing Andy Gibbs "Everything,” "there's Andy Gibb with I just want to be your underwear.” I knew at that moment I wanted to be your underwear (and the voice that came out of that box in the car).
3. Before we talk about your new gig at KRXQ/Sacramento, how long did you work at KOMP/Las Vegas doing middays and as their Music Director. Give us a timetable/history of your roles and job descriptions at the station.
I was at KOMP for 18 years. I did a lot of things there besides MD. I helped in promotions for and imaging of the station. It was a blast and I’m grateful for my time there.
4. Congratulations on your new position doing middays at KRXQ (98 Rock) in Sacramento. How did this new gig come about for you?
Thank you. Vince Richards and I met many years ago in KC, and we liked each other a lot but I just didn’t want to leave Vegas at the time. Years later we became Facebook friends and kept in touch. Then the ad for the gig came along. I applied and then we reunited like Peaches and Herb.
5. You are replacing the long-time midday personality Pat Martin who is now doing mornings at sister station Classic Rock KSEG (96.9 The Eagle). What are your initial plans for the midday shift after Pat rocked it all those years?
I know right? How do you follow not only a market legend, but an icon in the format???
Dude, I’ll just roll in and be nuts and hopefully people will enjoy the crazy.
6. What kinds of features if any are you looking to do in middays at KRXQ?
I have a few ideas up my sleeve!
7. Since you were the Music Director for years at KOMP, what is your take on current Active Rock music and the Active Rock format as a whole?
Rock is Alive and well. People who say it isn’t are just lazy IMO.
8. What are your three favorite artists or songs of this past year and why?
Bring Me The Horizon, Architects and that new Papa Roach is fire!
I really dig the style those artists are bringing to the table.
9. You are also the founding member of Kilpop.com and Kilpop Radio. Give us the scoop on the latest from Kilpop?
Kilpop is moving along, always looking to the future. I’ve stepped down from Kilpop Radio for obvious reasons, so you’ll have to ask my partner Larry what he’s up to.
10. Finally, I know you are a huge Kansas City Chiefs football fan. What’s going on with the team this year?
They suck ass and not in a good way. They suck with teeth. Frustration aside, I think we miss Sammy Watkins more than anyone realized because he required a lot of attention and that helped Kelce and Hill, and our new guys just aren’t #1s. I also think we truly miss Chris Jones in the middle, because we create no pressure on the opposing QB… and Mahomes needs a losing season to learn from. He does bounce back from adversity well. And quite frankly, we’ve had an amazing run. It can’t always be your year.
