Sucking the life out of the wire services:
JENNIFER LAWRENCE is helping save lives right in her own front yard. TMZ.com reports the "Hunger Games" hottie was taking her dog for a walk last Monday when she returned home and spotted a young lady collapsed on the lawn outside her apartment complex. Someone had already called 9-1-1, but Jennifer rushed to her side, anyway. The patient was treated on the scene and police say alcohol may have played a part in the emergency. (Lee)
LEVI JOHNSTON claims that BRISTOL PALIN is keeping him from seeing his son TRIPP. Levy's pregnant girlfriend, SUNNY OGLESBY, tells Star magazine that Levy refused to be on Bristol's reality show and she got so mad that she refused to let him see his son. (Myers)
Stalking the catwalk:
TIM TEBOW was all over the runway in Orlando, Florida, late last week for Jockey. But sorry ladies, the New York Jets quarterback kept his pants on for the fashion show. Tim played emcee in a white t-shirt and blue jeans for the show featuring the new line of Jockeys for men and women. He told People magazine that even though he has no plans to strip down to his skivvies as Jockey's spokesman, he is a boxer-briefs kind of guy. (Bartha)
Wasted away again in Margaritaville:
When cops in Ottawa, Canada pulled a lady over for driving recklessly, she showed them more than her driver's license.
CNews reports the unidentified 52-year-old woman was allegedly driving around naked. Police say the woman blew more than three times the legal limit. Then, she was abusive towards officers and refused to get out of the car. Police had to cut her seatbelt in order to forcibly remove her from the car. She faces D-U-I charges and was fined $267 for verbally abusing police. (Still)The Reel Deal:
"The Avengers" is now the third highest-grossing movie in the U-S ever, after it crossed the $600 million mark yesterday.
There's only two movies ahead of it --and both done by JAMES CAMERON: "Titanic" and "Avatar."
As far as world-wide, "Avengers" is the twelfth film to make it to a billion bucks at the box office, and the third overall grossing movie with $1.43 billion bucks, surpassed only by "Titanic" ($2.18 billion) and "Avatar" ($2.78 billion).
When adjusted for inflation, however, "Gone With The Wind" is still far and away the number one best-selling movie ever, followed by "Star Wars" and "The Sound of Music."Grace notes:
A musical based on the life of Motown founder BERRY GORDY JR. will open next year on Broadway. The show is called "Motown," and the 81-year-old Berry is writing the book for the show. Naturally, it will feature tons of Motown tunes. (Marino)
