Politics as usual:
There are some things it seems MITT ROMNEY is destined never to live down. Like that time he strapped his dog to the roof of his car and went on a family road trip.
A group called Dogs Against Romney will hold a rally in Tampa on Sunday, the day before the GOP convention is scheduled to begin. The activists are hoping to draw attention to the way Romney treated his dog Seamus that fateful day and to draw a parallel between the event and how he would govern.
The group is also releasing a game called "Crate escape," which challenges players to help Seamus flee his dog carrier. (Maiman)London tabloids:
"Hell's Kitchen" chef GORDON RAMSAY has turned down a guy who wanted to donate $95-hundred bucks to charity if Gordon would go off on him.
The London Daily Express reports Ramsey was in Las Vegas when a guy came up to him and said, "It's my 50th birthday. Would you mind calling me (a donkey)?"
Ramsey turned him down, but the guy refused to take "no" for an answer and upped his offer, saying "I'll donate six-thousand pounds to charity," but Ramsey walked away.Chic Sh*t:
The 50 Shades of Grey product merchandising has just hit a new low... 50 Shades baby products! Etsy is selling onesies with messages that will make grandma cringe: "Nine months ago mommy read Fifty Shades of Grey." And "All Mommy wanted was a night with Mr. Grey."
Phone Starter: 50 Shades baby products... cute, or cringe-worthy? (Bartha)Broadcast, cable and video news:
MICHAEL BOLTON will guest-star on the season opener of "Two and a Half Men." Zap2It.com reports ASHTON KUTCHER's character, Walden, gets so drunk that Michael Bolton --who plays himself-- has to bring him home.
Grace notes:
People collect all sorts of weird things, but check this out. The house Jeffrey Dahmer grew up in is for sale, and the current owner is CHRIS BUTLER, drummer for the 80's pop band, THE WAITRESSES. The house is in Bath, Ohio, near where Chris grew up, and he told the Akron Beacon Journal that he bought it in 2005, not knowing that Dahmer killed his first victim in the house back in 1978. Chris decided to pony up the money anyway, and now he's asking 329-thousand dollars for the home. (Marino)
Riding on the smaller, special bus:
A video of a man riding the world's smallest bicycle has hit the web (here).
Orange.co.uk has the story behind the clip. It starts with the rider, in full bicycling gear, whipping the miniature bike out of his backpack. The mini-bike has everything a full-sized bike has. But, it's smaller than a shoe. In spite of its tiny size, the guy is able to climb on and ride off down the street. (Still) -
