Gun control dep't:
VP JOE BIDEN was dishing out more self-defense advice yesterday. In commenting on what he told his wife, he said, "We live in an area that's wooded and secluded... I said, JILL, if there's ever a problem just walk out on the balcony here... put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house."
He added, "I promise you whoever's coming in is not gonna... You don't need an AR-15. It's harder to aim. It's harder to use and in fact you don't need 30 rounds to protect yourself... Buy a shotgun." (Pacelli)Trolling for publicity:
And in what may be the Celebrity Quote of the Day, KIM "Pay Attention to Me" KARDASHIAN says she understands why so many are so sexually obsessed with her --so much so that on yet another useless show with the name Kardashian on it, she said --quote-- "If I was a man, I would want to know what it's like to have sex with myself."
Editor's note: And to think, previously she came off as sort of a narcissist. (Maiman)On, off and way-off Broadway:
Since the movie was so popular, "Les Miserables" is coming back to Broadway. The touring company of the musical will set up shop at one of the Shubert-owned theaters in March of 2014. This will be the third Broadway run for "Les Miserables." The original production opened in 1987 and ran for 6,680 performances. A 2006 revival closed in 2008. (Marino)
TV Briefs:
People magazine reports NEIL PATRICK HARRIS wants to do a celebrity version of "Survivor" when producers get around to it.
JEFF PROBST says "[MARK BURNETT and I] were just talking about this at a Grammy party last week. [Neil] was there, and he told me flat out he wants to play."
Phoner: What other celebrities would you like to see stranded on an island in the Pacific?Grace notes:
Former TEMPTATIONS singer DAMON HARRIS has died. He had prostate cancer and passed away yesterday. Damon was 61. He replaced RICKY OWENS who replaced EDDIE KENDRICKS in 1971, and his voice was so similar to Eddie's that most people don't realize that Damon is the high tenor on hits like "Papa Was A Rolling Stone" and "Masterpiece." He left the group in 1975. (Marino)
