Like you really care:
Are you looking for a nice place to spread out in the Sunshine State? TOMMY LEE JONES has just the spot for 'ya! RadarOnline.com reports the "Lincoln" star just listed his 50-acre Florida estate, which is called the San Saba Polo Ranch. The actor loves the sport and put millions into upgrading the property with barns, stables, training arenas and a regulation-sized field. The place also features a four-bedroom, two-bath home and can be yours for a just a bit less than $27-million dollars. (Lee)
Are you on the hunt for a family-friendly vehicle that isn't your average mamamobile? NICOLE "Snooki" POLIZZI has the perfect ride! The "Jersey Shore" guidette is selling her 2011 pink and black Cadillac Escalade on eBay.com. The vehicle features custom wheels, ambient lighting, four-wheel drive, leather seats and can be yours if the price is right. Better be prepared to drop a chunk of change for this "piece of pop culture history" --as of press time, the highest bid was $77,510! (Lee)
Models:
Most women would kill for a sweet gig modeling bathing suits, but ALYSSA MILLER claims it's not all champagne and sunshine. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cutie whined to Modelinia.com that she "wore" a painted bikini for one shoot, threw up from the paint fumes and had to sit through another 15-hours of the application process. The stunner wears her grandmother's opal ring for luck and admits that her glamorous profession is "just a job" at the end of the day. (Lee)
Stars and their movies:
Looks like another movie musical for ANNE HATHAWAY.
The London Daily Mail says Anne, who played Fantine in "Les Miserables," will play an archeologist who returns home from Morocco because her brother has been wounded and falls for a rock star in the movie, "Song One."
Anne's husband, ADAM SHULMAN, is producing the film; the rock musician is being played by JOHNNY FLYNN, a British folk musician.
Another tidbit: the Daily Mail reporter spoke to Anne at the recent Vanity Fair cocktail party and Anne said she was still looking at the possibility of doing either a stage production of "My Fair Lady" --or a remake of the movie.
Her movie co-star would be COLIN FIRTH, while the stage play would co-star DOMINIC WEST, who's currently filming the BBC production about ELIZABETH TAYLOR and RICHARD BURTON, co-starring HELENA BONHAM CARTER.Grace notes:
The Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2013. STEVEN TYLER and JOE PERRY of AEROSMITH get the honors, along with British pop songwriter TONY HATCH who wrote most of PETULA CLARK's hits, MICK JONES and LOU GRAMM of FOREIGNER, HOLLY KNIGHT who wrote hits for TINA TURNER, and EAGLES collaborator, J.D. SOUTHER. The induction ceremony happens June 13th in New York City. (Marino)
So, how much cocaine has STEVEN TYLER put up his nose over the years? He told Australia's "60 Minutes" that it was at least five-million-dollars worth before he finally got clean. Steven said in the 1970's, there was always lots of (quote), "booger sugar" around and you could say he snorted half of Peru. (Marino)
Damage Control:
DANICA PATRICK just filed for divorce from PAUL HOSPENTHAL last month, but is already moving on with a new dude. The speed demon is hot and heavy with fellow NASCAR driver RICKY STENHOUSE and tells Men's Health magazine that their romance "just happened." Technically, the two are now co-workers, so what happens if they go against one another in a race? The fastest girl in town says they "respect each other on the track" and doesn't see a reason for that to change. (Lee)
Sunday's 2013 Daytona 500 is history and DANICA PATRICK finished eighth, after becoming the first woman to win the pole position. It was JIMMIE JOHNSON who took the checkered flag for his second Daytona 500 win, racing past defending NASCAR champion BRAD KESELOWSKI on the final restart. Danica's boyfriend, Ricky Stenhouse, finished 12th.
Johnson wasn't challenged over the final six laps, adding another 500 title to go with his 2006 victory. This time crew chief CHAD KNAUS can enjoy it --he was suspended by NASCAR for the first victory. DALE EARNHARDT, Jr, made a late move to finish second, but didn't challenge his Hendrick Motorsports teammate for the victory. MARK MARTIN was third.
But give a few props to Danica, who stayed in the top 10 all through the race, and was third on the final lap, even though she faded in the flurry of late action. She became the first woman in history to lead laps in the Daytona 500, though, with five laps out front. (Maiman) -
