Former President GEORGE W. BUSH is cutting PRESIDENT OBAMA a bit of slack when it comes to playing golf. In an interview with the Golf Channel, Dubya says he really see no problem with it.
He said, "I think it's good for the president to be out playing golf... I see our president criticized for playing golf. I don't. I think he ought to play golf... I know what it's like to be in the bubble. I know the pressures of the job, and to be able to get outside and play golf with some of your pals is important for the president. It does give you an outlet."

Fashion Emergency:
The fashion rumor mill is buzzing that SELENA GOMEZ has her first-ever Vogue cover in the works. The chatter started Saturday, after Twitter pictures surfaced of Selena lunching with editor ANNA WINTOUR in Milan, Italy. Huffington Post says the lunch meeting came just hours after Selena was seen hanging out with DONATELLA VERSACE at Milan's Fashion Week. (Bartha)

Will we be seeing the Peacock Network's golden girls return to the Golden Globes? TINA FEY tells PerezHilton.com that NBC has invited her and AMY POEHLER to host the awards show again next year and they planned to chat about it after the Emmy's. (Lee)
As for the Emmys, it was the biggest audience in eight years for the awards show, with nearly 18 million viewers --the biggest audience since 2005. The show as also up 50 percent in adults aged 18-to-34, which may signal that the network was right to do the CORY MONTEITH tribute after all.
Animal Stories:
A male gorilla at the Dallas Zoo has to undergo therapy.
Zookeepers say PATRICK the 430-pound Western lowland gorilla bit a female gorilla and "sneered" at others. So, they're sending him to the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina, where he'll be put in a type of solitary confinement. It comes after staff members have tried repeatedly to get Patrick to socialize with the other gorillas. But, he just can't seem to get along with them --particularly the females. The South Carolina zoo is apparently known for their gorilla therapy program. (Still) -
