Lincoln's birthday:
Hey, let's show one of our greatest presidents some love! His birthday is the 12th, so we've just got time to mention it today! Did you know Abe grew a beard for the 1860 presidential campaign after a little girl named GRACE BEDELL wrote him a letter telling him that all the ladies like whiskers and they'd tease their husbands to vote for him. So he became the first president to have a beard! (Source: "U-S Presidents for Dummies").
Editor's note: Try telling a candidate something like that today --they gotta have 18 different surveys and polls before they'll even go to the bathroom just to see what toilet paper brand to use. (RB)Most expensive love songs:
"Mighty" JOHN MARSHALL, who buys old vinyl records for collectors at MoneyMusic.com, sent a list of the top-10 most expensive records with "love" in the title that are worth $100.00 or more for Valentine's Day.

Remember that Girl Scout in San Francisco that set up shop outside a cannabis dispensary last year? She's at it again!
DANIELLE LEI is making a killing peddling Thin Mints and Do-si-dos outside the Green Cross marijuana shop on Mission street. Danielle says she sold 560 boxes of cookies in the first four days alone. And, she admits she wouldn't have sold nearly as many if it wasn't for her prime location.
It's legal to sell cannabis in San Francisco for certain medical conditions. (Still)Fashion Emergency:
It's New York Fashion Week time again! Starting today, top models will be teetering in stiletto heels on smooth floor surfaces... A-List celebrities (and people with names starting with "K" ) will wear trend-setting loaner outfits and be strategically seated for maximum publicity... and top designers will be showing their fall 2015 collections, giving everyone a glimpse of emerging trends for the year. (Bartha)
TV Briefs:
Today will be ROSIE O'DONNELL's final day on "The View."
Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
TAYLOR SWIFT is an expert at breakups. She's certainly been in quite a few high-profile relationships that didn't end well. So, when a female fan named Kasey Andrew started posting messages about HER recent breakup, and mentioned Taylor, the singer not only responded to the hurting teen, she also created a break-up playlist, just for the sad Swiftie. It features Charli XCX's "Stay Away," Montgomery's "Not Around," Heart's "Wings," MisterWives' "Coffins," Azure Ray's "Sleep," and Measure's "Begin Again." Taylor didn't include any of her own songs on the playlist, but there are many that would fit. (Marino)
