Small-town politics:
Hats off to NJ Gov CHRIS CHRISTIE, who's the most hated Governor in the 50 states.
A new,Morning Consult poll of more than 85-thousand registered voters across the US was unveiled yesterday, and the top-10 governors as far as approval ratings are all Republicans, with Massachusetts Governor CHARLIE BAKER in the top spot with a 75 percent approval rating, and only 17 percent disapproving of his job performance.
On the other hand, eight of the bottom ten governors are also Republicans, with Christie at a lousy 25-percent approval rating --and a 71-percent negative ranking.Bottom feeding:
The saga of KELLY DODD's breasts has taken another turn as her rep tells E! News that she went under the knife to have "the girls" reduced. If you haven't been keeping up, the "Real Housewives of Orange County" star boosted them up to 32-G's in 2014, but friends say she had some serious discomfort and couldn't find clothes that fit.
The reality darling is recovering nicely at her home and even had a "Ta-ta to the ta-ta's" party the night before the operation. (Lee)On, off and way-off-Broadway:
Today's birthday boy, PANIC! AT THE DISCO singer BRENDON URIE, is headed to Broadway. The Hollywood Reporter says he'll take over the role of Charlie Price in the musical "Kinky Boots" from May 26th through August 6th. Brendon gets off the road with his band on April 15th. (Marino)
Trendspotting:
Nike is the single most popular apparel brand among teens, for sportswear and ready-to-wear clothing. That's according to the Piper Jaffray 33rd Semi-Annual Proprietary Teen Research Project. Teen Voguesays the study tracks the spending habits of teens --specifically, where they are shopping and how much they are spending. With 5,500 responses and an average age of 16, there was a resounding love for Nike, both in apparel and footwear. The sportswear company boasted 31 percent for the former and a whopping 52 percent for the latter.
American Eagle, Forever 21, Lululemon, and a two-way tie between Adidas and H&M round out the apparel-focused top five. As for footwear, Nike was followed by Vans, Adidas, Converse, and Steve Madden. While Nike may not be a top dog in handbags, that category was studied as well: Michael Kors hit 33 percent, followed by Kate Spade, Coach, Longchamp, and Louis Vuitton. And where are all of these brands being purchased? Amazon was the resounding winner when it comes to e-commerce, holding 43 percent in the study. (Bartha)
