Everyday heroes:
A guy ran the London Marathon dressed in a gorilla costume.
Actually, police officer TOM HARRISON didn't really run --it was more like a crawl. 41-year-old Harrison --aka "MR GORILLA"-- donned a gorilla suit and walked on his hands and feet for the entire 26.2-mile course. It took him nearly a week to finish the course, crawling about 4.5-miles per day. He used the stunt to raise almost $34-thousand dollars for a gorilla conservation charity in Africa. (Still)Stars and their movies:
Sources say MADONNA can bitch all she wants about that new movie about her life, but she won't be able to stop them from making it.
The NY Postreports although she's been trashing the movie on social media, she didn't write many of her early hits, and since she doesn't control the copyrights, she has no way to stop that music from being used in the movie.
Among the songs she didn't write: "Holiday," "Crazy for You," "Borderline," "Like a Virgin," "Material Girl," and "Dress You Up."School daze:
Um, it IS 2017, right? CHRISTINE HOFFMAN, the principal of Campbell Park Elementary school in St. Petersburg, FL, has been suspended after she told her staff to put the white students in one class. The school has history of poor academic performance and the majority of the school is black. The statement is a blatant violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. The school board has put Hoffman on leave and is reviewing her to determine whether or not she has a "continued role with the district." (Myers)
