London tabloids:
PIPPA MIDDLETON is in full-blown wedding mode. The UK's Daily Mail spotted a big, white bag being delivered to her home on Tuesday morning, while her big sister DUCHESS KATE's hairdresser also popped by. The British beauty set to tie the knot with JAMES MATTHEWS this weekend. (Lee)
Meanwhile, estimates have this weekend's wedding costing around $322-thousand dollars. Bridebook came up with the figure by estimating the various items for the big day --and noted that it's a lot less than KATE and WILLIAM's big day (said to be $25.8 million!!!).
Some highlights:
--Catering: $91,000
--Dress: $13,000
--Drinks: $23,000 (Let's face it, it's probably not going to be a cash bar)
--Wedding Rings: $26,600; the diamond encrusted wedding ring for Pippa will cost $20,000 and James' platinum band is $1850.Trendspotting:
Looks like The Unicorn Latte, Fidget Spinners and now the RompHim are what 2017 is all about. We should be petrified for society. A startup company called ACED Design has put together a romper for men, so instead of the Romper, it's the RompHim, get it?
It's a one piece shirt and shorts for men with a zipper fly, an adjustable waist, deep front pockets and zipper back pocket and a special, Fourth of July print. You can wear it just about anywhere --models in the commercial enjoy their leisure onesie at the gym, on the beach, at the carnival and even in the pool.
And yes, there's been a HUGE response so far --as of press time, the idea has made over $50-thousand dollars on Kickstarter.com-- five-times their original goal! Throw in a man-bun while eating avocado toast and you're it, baby! See them HERE. (Myers /Lee)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
Two New Jersey icons showed up at college graduations in the Garden State. STEVEN VAN ZANDT of the E STREET BAND was the commencement speaker at Rutgers University in New Brunswick on Sunday. He wore his usual head scarf, with the ceremonial red robe. The New York Post says he told the students (quote), "Reach for greatness, nothing less. And make sure you have some fun along the way. Life should never be boring. Congratulations. Go get 'em."
Yesterday, BON JOVI made a surprise appearance at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford for Fairleigh Dickinson University's Class of 2017. The graduates had actually won a contest put together by MTVU, the network's college channel after students were asked to tweet their best college moments and tag their school with the hashtag #JBJReunionContest. Well, the band showed up and did an acoustic version of the song "Reunion" from their latest album, "This House Is Not For Sale." (Marino) -
