Fast Food:
Taco Bell will reportedly be opening more than 300 new locations around the country --but with a much different layout.
Food & Winemagazine reports the new "cantina style" locations won't have a drive-through --but they will need a liquor license because they'll be serving beer, wine, sangria, and what the company calls Twisted Freezes --alcohol-loaded slushies.
The stores, which will mostly be centered in urban areas, will open by 2022.Fashion Emergency:
HARRY STYLES' tour merchandise is out and it is spectacular. The main motif for Harry's tour merch is the slogan "Treat People with Kindness." Fashionista.com says the phrase is splashed across tees, pins, notebooks and sweatshirts.
There are also options that feature Harry's face that carry over the millennial-pink photo shoot from Styles's first album. That includes a black-and-white style individualized for each tour date. All of Harry's tour merchandise is available on his official website.(Bartha)Lowering expectations:
How would you like to stay at a motel made entirely of beach sand?
Movie production designer JON DOWDING designed a so-called "Sand Hostel" on Australia's Gold Coast. It boasts "everything your dream hostel would include," like an outdoor bar, live music, beach volleyball, and lots of "good vibes."
Builders used 24-tons of beach sand to build the facility, which features an eight-bed dorm room and a private double-room. Ten lucky winners were recently selected to stay at the hostel at no cost. They'll also get free meals and drinks.
Don't try to plan a Sand Hostel getaway of your own anytime soon though. The trendy --but temporary-- pop-up accommodations will only exist through September 22nd. (Still)Grace notes from Vinny Marino:
BRUCE SPRINSGTEEN rehearsed his upcoming "Springsteen on Broadway" show Tuesday night on the campus of Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey. The Asbury Park Press says an invited audience got a preview of the concert residency at the Pollak Theater. Previews for the Broadway edition begin October 3rd at the Walter Kerr Theater, with shows running through February.
FYI: Want front-row center opening night tickets to see Bruce on Broadway? There's an auction that will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS for the October 12th show. Bidding starts at $25-thousand dollars, and that's for each ticket. You have until tonight at 5 pm (Eastern) to place your bid at broadwaycares.org/Springsteen. (Marino)
