Filling a need:
"Saturday Night Live" has entered the booze business. The Daily Meal reports the long-running comedy is selling a variety of wines, including a 2016 Saturday Night Live California Red Blend, 2016 Debbie Downer Chardonnay and the 2016 Beaujolais called Stefon. Prices range from 18-20-bucks per-bottle and are available at Lot18. (Lee)
Royalty Report:
Here's an odd note --Peoplemagazine reports plastic surgeons are getting women coming into their offices looking to get a nose job so it'll look like MEGHAN MARKLE's.
New York rhinoplasty specialist Dr. DAVID CANGELLO says the narrow and well-defined bridge and tip of Meghan's nose are why it's so enviable, and he sayscelebrities are often looked to when people are describing their ideal nose. Another famous actress' nose that women appear to like is KATE BECKINSALE's.On, off and way-off-Broadway:
That all-star "Damn Yankees" benefit concert now has an actual Baseball Hall of Famer in the cast. Deadline.com says Mr. October himself, REGGIE JACKSON, will play Mr. Welch alongside WHOOPI GOLDBERG as the devilish Applegate, MAGGIE GYLLENHALL as Lola and MATTHEW MORRISON as the hapless Joe Hardy. The concert reading happens December 11th at the Stephen Sondheim Theater with all proceeds going to the Roundabout Theater Company. (Marino)
Bad luck:
If you're going to invest in something, make sure you don't throw away the one thing that can help you cash it in when the time comes.
JAMES HOWELL invested in the Bitcoin craze, collecting thousands of them... and then threw out the hard drive that they were stored on! He believes that it's at the bottom of thousands of tons of trash in a landfill. He threw it out in 2013, forgetting he had the currency stored on it and at the time it wasn't worth much. Now he believes it's worth about five million dollars.
"Accidents happen," he said. "I just get on with it. I've always known Bitcoin would go this high and I've always known the value of the hard drive would go up." (Myers) -
