Political Racket /Dirty Tricks:
DIANE NEAL announced yesterday that she is running for the 19th Congressional District seat in New York as an independent.
You may not recognize the name, but you probably will if we tell you the 42-year-old played Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak on "Law & Order: SVU" for 113 episodes and has also appeared on "NCIS" and "NCIS: New Orleans" as Coast Guard Investigative Service Special Agent Abigail Borin.
Diane tweeted yesterday, "Ok, so it's ON!!! But I'm doing with nearly no staff, no donations (yet), with no party. Website will be up later today (fingers crossed) and all ready to go. But goal is bigger than parties. Goal is no negativity. Goal is HIGH ROAD all the way."
She'll need to get 3,500 signatures first in order to be listed on the November ballot.Valentine's Day:
Valentine's Day is just one, short week away, which means a booming business for florists and emotional turmoil for those going through a breakup. Are you feeling the burn in your poor, little heart? The fine folks at Hooters are here to help you through this brutal time. The Daily Meal reports the chain famous for it's chicken and short shorts is doling out free food --and revenge!
Clients will get a chance to shred an ex by putting their photo through the shredder and will pick up 10 free boneless wings with the purchase of 10 wings while they're at it. The offer is only valid on February 14th. (Lee)Broadcast, cable and video news:

Trust a Girl Scout to know where to sell her cookies!
San Diego's FOX-4 reports a Girl Scout set up outside of Urbn Leaf, a recreational and medical marijuana dispensary there and was able to unload more than 300 boxes of cookies in about six hours.
Urbn Leaf posted a photo on Instagram, encouraging its clientele to grab some "Girl Scout Cookies with your GSC." (GSC is apparently a strain of weed named afterthe cookies, and is known for its "sweet and earthy" flavor.)
